Chandra is an AID-Chennai volunteer who has been working with TNSF to set up primary education support centers in Chennai. She has set up some 60 of these centers, catering to around 1000 children. She is also the state level coordinator for the Makkal Palli Iyakkam, in charge of expanding the program to around 1000 centers. In addition she along with Ravishankar Arunachalam has taken over coordination of AID-Chennai.
