Dear xxxxxx,

You might be aware of the Tsunami Disaster by now that has struck various countries in Asia. The coastal regions in India have also been massively affected, leaving a trail of death and destruction. Association for India Development (AID) a 501c(3) non-profit group, is organizing a fund raising drive towards to help provide both short term and long term relief to victims of the disaster. In addition, AID volunteers in India and their close partner organizations are active in some of the worst affected areas including Chennai, Nagapattinam and Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu. They anticipate immediate need for shelter, food, clothing and medicines for people who are rendered homeless or expected to be evacuated from affected areas. Considering the massive scale of the disaster, which has wiped out entire costal villages or fishing communities, it is expected that long-term rehabilitation will require significant resources.

I have been a volunteer with AID for the past xxxx years, and wish to make a monetary contribution to AID for the relief efforts in India. In this regard, I would like for our company to match donations made by me as well as by other employees to the relief efforts. We would sincerely appreciate it if you could let us know the mechanism by which we can ensure that the company can match the tax-exempt donations made by all the employees to AID. AID recently received the highest four star rating by Charity Navigator, America's largest independent evaluator of charities. More information on AID and its role in the disaster relief efforts is available at: http://survivors.aidindia.org
The website gives regular updates on the relief and rehab work carried out by AID volunteers and partner organizations in India.

Please do let me know incase you need more information.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxxxxx
